National Center on Tribal Early Childhood Development (NCTECD)

The new contract for the Office of Child Care's National Center on Tribal Early Childhood Development (NCTECD) was awarded to ICF International for FY2017–2021. NCTECD will support the implementation of the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act (CCDF) of 2014 by providing training and technical assistance (T/TA) to support tribal CCDFgrantees. It will also address the adoption and implementation of early childhood development (ECD) program best practices and early childhood systems and infrastructure in tribal communities. NCTECD will broker T/TA expertise and resources available through the Administration for Children and Families' (ACF) larger Early Childhood Education Training and Technical Assistance (ECETTA) system. The Center will also conduct site visits, including some coordinated visits with the Office of Head Start (OHS) and Tribal Home Visiting T/TA providers; support and innovate the Peer Learning and Leadership Network (PLLN); and conduct biennial National Tribal ECD Conferences, beginning in 2018.
