How to Navigate the Curriculum Consumer Report *******

The interactive Curriculum Consumer Report provides reviews and ratings for infant and toddler, preschool, home-based, and family child care curricula. Explore the tips below to learn how to search for and compare curricula reviews and ratings, as well as print a report. To optimize your experience with this tool, we recommend you use the Google Chrome browser.

Search the Curriculum Consumer Report

First, from the Curriculum Consumer Report landing page, select the curriculum type you wish to review:

This brings you to the page with reviews and ratings of the curriculum type you selected.

Next, choose how to search and view curriculum reviews:

Search for Reviews and Ratings of a Specific Curriculum

You can see full reviews and ratings for one curriculum.

  1. From the Curriculum Consumer Report landing page, select the type of curriculum you want to explore.
  2. Choose the name of a curriculum to view its Summary of Curriculum Review.
  3. Below the Summary of Curriculum Review bullet list, select Full Review & Ratings to see full reviews and ratings by criterion.

Search by a Specific Criterion

You can view reviews and ratings of all curricula based on a selected criterion.

  1. From the Curriculum Consumer Report landing page, select the type of curriculum you want to explore by criterion.
  2. Select the Criteria tab.
  3. Select the criterion for which you want to view reviews and ratings across all curricula.
  4. Select View All Curricula by This Criterion to view reviews and ratings of all curricula on the selected criterion, in alphabetical order by curriculum name.

Compare Reviews and Ratings for Two Curricula

You can see a side-by-side comparison of reviews and ratings for two curricula.

  1. From the Curriculum Consumer Report landing page, select the type of curriculum you would like to explore.
  2. Choose the Compare tab.
  3. Under the Curriculum 1 and 2 headings:
    • Use the Select a Curriculum drop-down menu to choose the two curricula you want to compare.
  4. The reviews and ratings for all criteria will appear in a side-by-side comparison.

You may also start by reviewing one curriculum and then comparing it to another.

  1. Select the name of the curriculum you want to explore.
  2. Choose Full Review & Ratings below the Summary of Curriculum Review bullet list.
  3. Under the Curriculum heading, select Compare to Another Curriculum.
  4. Under the Curriculum 2 heading, use the Select a Curriculum drop-down menu to select the curriculum you want to compare.
  5. The reviews and ratings for all criteria will appear in a side-by-side comparison.

After comparing the reviews and ratings for two curricula, you can access the full review and ratings page for one of the curricula by selecting its name.

View Ratings for All Curricula at a Glance

You can view the ratings for all criteria for each curriculum at once.

  1. From the Curriculum Consumer Report landing page, select the type of curriculum you would like to examine by criterion.
  2. Select the All Ratings tab to view of the ratings on all criteria for each curriculum.

Print a Report

To generate a printable PDF of a page (e.g., Curricula), select the Print icon in the upper right-hand corner. Then, choose the Print icon in the upper left-hand corner and follow the directions for printing from your computer.
