Learn to recognize oral health signs of physical and sexual abuse and explore resources to help Head Start staff work with families to prevent child maltreatment.
This collection covers prevention and treatment of injuries to the head, face, and mouth in young children. These common injuries most frequently happen when children fall, as children may stumble when learning to walk and when active. Other preventable causes discussed in these resources include tripping, being pushed by another child, climbing on stairs and furniture, or running with objects in their mouths.
