- Conduct regular and special reviews or studies on training and professional development and other related areas as assigned by the AVP using Head Start scientific program implementation stages, agency technology, program evidence-based data, and agency developed dashboards for accessing program data and reports;
- Conduct and participate in a variety of training and professional development analytical reviews and studies;
- Develop study methodologies and maintain complex spreadsheets, narratives, statistical reports; and directory of studies/spreadsheets methodologies;
- Work with management and others to increase the usage of automated technology, and collaborate with other team members to produce timely automated, quality standardized reports and visuals;
- Participate in review of professional development projects implementation and recommendations for continuous quality improvement;
- Perform feasibility studies and prepare proposals for projects or recommendations for continuous program improvement for staff professional development, increased child and family outcomes, and school readiness goals; training needs, in-agency and external professional development programs;
- Prepare specifications, develop timetables for sub-recipients contract reporting on their training and professional development, child outcomes, parent satisfaction survey, CLASS Plan reports, School Readiness Action Plans, etc.
- Develop and monitor system-wide training and professional development implementation plans;
- Compile and review reports for submission to AVP, management and leadership;
- Collaborate with other team members and program staff on the status and needs of children and their families, and recommend relevant staff training and professional development;
- Assist in assessing collaborations and partnerships (for example, contracted college courses, etc.) to enhance Agency and system-wide staff training and professional development;
- Assists in the coordination of self-assessment of training and professional development, and subsequent grant development;
- Assist in the design and organization of the electronic archive of TSD data files and records;
- Develop, compile, and recommend program policies, procedures and maintain a variety of reports and files related to assigned activities;
- Ensure TSD compliance with Agency and program procedures and timelines;
- Maintain a directory and database to access and interpret current applicable provisions of federal, state, county regulations, and related agency guidelines;
- Provide work projects recommendations for a diverse team of technical and professional staff; may act as a team lead as assigned;
- Additional duties as assigned.
Training & Experience:
The following are typical ways of obtaining the knowledge skills and abilities outlined above. A Master’s Degree or higher from accredited college or university in computer science, management, business, finance, early childhood education or related field and a minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience providing direct services to low income children and families of diverse cultural backgrounds or a Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university in computer science, management, business, early childhood education or related field and a minimum of three (5) years of progressively responsible experience managing, supporting, or providing direct services to low-income children and families of diverse cultural backgrounds.
Language Skills:
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in English with demonstrated skills in written and oral communication.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percents; read and create charts, and bar graphs; identify data trends and make projections.
