Katie Hamm, acting director of the Office of Head Start, welcomes Head Start and Early Head Start staff back for the 2022-2023 program year. She expresses her gratitude to new and returning staff for the support they provide to children and families in programs across the country. She also acknowledges the challenges programs faced delivering services during a global pandemic.
