These safe spaces allow them to share their experiences and challenges and to get additional support from other parents. Virtual spaces can also help connect families with providers and community partners.

Examples for Family Services

  • Use social media, online forums, or blogs to connect families and promote parents as the experts on their children.
  • Offer virtual group meetings, including for Policy Council, parent committee, social support, and other parent group meetings.
  • Connect with community partners such as the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program to help families gain access to the internet and other technology (e.g., devices, hot spots).
